Wycombe weekly newsletter 9th September 2021
High Wycombe Hub Newsletter 09.09.2021
We are really pleased to be welcoming the new academic year in and continuing to work with children and young people, schools and families. In order to continue to keep everyone safe each of our therapies, OT, Physio and SALT will continue to use the same framework to risk assess whether a session with a CYP should take place remotely or face to face. Face-to-face delivery will be carried out where this is clinically necessary and therapy staff will wear PPE. Where the outcomes for a particular session can be achieved via remote means then remote delivery will be used. Our staff continues to carry out lateral flow tests twice a week to ensure everyone is keeping safe.
NEW SALT and OT training
We are excited to share that OT and SALT live webinar training will be available for all school staff to access. Initially on the following topics, with further topics to be added across the year: SALT - Vocabulary, attention and auditory memory, spoken narratives, and conversation skills. OT - Sensory processing and handwriting. We will share the details on how and when to access this training as soon as possible.
Visit the new CYP Therapies website (NHS) that has just been redesigned.
