Cognition and Learning

Cognition and Learning support across Buckinghamshire is provided by qualified Specialist Teachers who have expert knowledge of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in the classroom. The Specialist Cognition and Learning Teachers work with SENCOs, class teachers and teaching assistants (TAs) to help them meet the needs of their pupils with specific and general learning difficulties.

Buckinghamshire Council’s Cognition and Learning Teachers provide traded, high-quality cognition and learning assessments, exam access arrangements and bespoke training. Support is also available through:
