CSB SEND Network Sessions

This forum is for leaders of SEND working with children with special educational needs. They will start with an information session followed by time for questions and answers.

These sessions are for leaders of SEND to come together and work collaboratively with other schools to:

  • Share good practices
  • Discuss and explore areas of interest
  • Learn about local authority initiatives, updates and policies

Dates:

  • Wednesday 8 March 2023, 2pm to 3pm
  • Wednesday 14 June, 2pm to 3pm

Teams invites will be sent out to all schools. If you have not received an invitation, please email fiona.downing@buckinghamshire.gov.uk

Educational Psychologist virtual consultation sessions (VCS)

A Termly 1-hour virtual consultation session is offered by a named Educational Psychologist allocated to your school. The VCS aims to provide a space for the school SENCo or another appropriate member of staff to engage with the EP in a shared problem-solving consultation. If individual children or young people are discussed during the VCS this must be done anonymously, which means that no parental consent is required

EPS contacts are available on our Who we are page

Specialist Teacher Support for pupils on SEND Support and those with EHC plans

Specialist Teacher SEND Support form updated March 2023

As part of our Tiered Approach to supporting schools, Specialist Teachers will be able to provide advice for early intervention for pupils on SEND Support and for those with EHC plans.

To access Specialist Teacher Support please complete the SEND Request Form (open document text form) and email the following documents securely to sts@buckinghamshire.gov.uk:

  • the completed form with parental permission
  • the pupil's SEND support plan (and EHCP if applicable). The SEN Support plan must show one complete cycle of Assess, Plan, Do, Review.

Only completed requests with parental consent can be actioned.

Once the request has been received, a Specialist Teacher will contact you via email to arrange a time to discuss.

Any significant and unexpected increase in the statutory work will require us to prioritise the statutory work.

This process has replaced our Advice Sessions and by doing so, we aim to offer a more flexible and regular support for schools. Our contact line remains available for unnamed pupil discussions.
