Meet the MIS Team
Meet the MIS Team
Sheryl Everett
ICT Schools Team Manager
I have been working in and supporting Schools since 2001; 8 years in Infant & Primary Schools using SIMS and the remainder as part of the ICT Schools Team. Before joining the Team I spent time working and living in Australia, Abu Dhabi & Dubai and arrived back in the UK in 2011, where I saw a vacancy as a SIMS Support Officer. I have been promoted through the ranks from SIMS Support Officer, to Supervisor, Team Leader and now ICT Schools Team Manager responsible for MIS, Financial Systems & Technical Support Teams. I understand the demands of School life – I don’t think you truly can unless you have worked in the environment. We are the first point of contact for many Schools, for a myriad of supported and non supported issues and whatever it is the I and the Team can do to support your daily working life, we will; our motto is…. 'if we don’t know, we will know someone who does’.
Gill Kershaw
Senior SIMS Support Officer
Having been an HLTA at a local Primary school for 10 years, which included a two year secondment in the Finance Office, I plunged into to the world of Secondary Education in 2011 and became an Examinations Officer and SIMS Administrator. My experience in the Primary sector had given me a basic outline of SIMS, but my knowledge grew, by no small part, from my learning and interaction with the SIMS Support Team. (I think I may have had my own direct line!)
I joined the team in March 2014. I love solving puzzles so this job is ‘right up my street’ and I can honestly say no two days are the same. From training to telephone support, every day I learn something new and I am able to share this knowledge with our customers in the hope that it makes their working life a little easier.
Carrie Paul
SIMS Support Officer
I started working within schools 10 years ago. My roles have varied from Teaching Assistant to School Manager of a Primary School.
When I first started working on the SIMS system I thought I would never understand the system and was always worried I would lose vital information! However, whilst working as a School Manager over the last four years I have learnt so much and I am still amazed by how much information you can input to SIMS and how beneficial it is to schools. It is a fantastic way of fully understanding your pupil data and I love how you can extract a multitude of reports in different areas to share with your school staff.
I joined the SIMS Team in December 2017 and love being part of a great Team. I am continually learning each day and extending my knowledge in order to give the best SIMS support service to our schools. I am pleased to be in a position of helping and supporting staff within schools as I know how daunting using SIMS can be!

Helen Scott
Senior SIMS Support Officer
I joined the SIMS & FMS Support Team in July 2013, having spent 7 years working in a Buckinghamshire Secondary School where I held multiple posts with responsibility for SEN and Data Management.
Since joining the team I have acquired a wealth of knowledge on the many other modules in SIMS which I had not used in school and, in turn, I have been able to share my experience in SEN, Assessment and Statutory Returns.
Teresa Gomm
SIMS Support Officer
I joined the SIMS Support Team in December 2017 having spent 7 years working as an Administration Officer for a large SEN primary school based in Aylesbury. Luckily, my school used the services of the SIMS Support Team for telephone support and I knew they could always help and advise me for any query I had. I also regularly attended the SIMS Support Seminars for Census, Data Collection and End of Year as well as attending their training courses and workshops.
When I saw the advert for a SIMS Support Officer in October 2017, I decided to apply and was delighted to be offered the position. SIMS is such a valuable software tool which is generally underused in Schools and I hope to be able to share my knowledge with other Schools to make their system run more efficiently and effectively.
Kathryn Reidy
ICT Schools Administrator
I joined the team in October 2018 having been Office Manager for an Infant school in Aylesbury for nearly 10 years. Prior to this I worked for a wide range of companies in the private sector in London enabling me to acquire a variety of PA and administrative skills.
My experience within Primary schools has provided me with a basic knowledge of SIMS and FMS which I hope will be invaluable in my new role of ICT Schools Team Administrator. I look forward to being part of the team and to providing efficient and effective support to schools.
