This course will explore some of the specific challenges faced by vulnerable children and young people at key transitions points in their education. It will look at how best to support this process in the primary and secondary phase.

Outcome:

  • Gain an understanding of the specific challenges faced by vulnerable children and young people at times of transition.
  • Identify what additional support vulnerable children and young people are likely to need to manage the transition from primary to secondary school.
  • Identify what additional support vulnerable students are likely to need to manage the transition to post 16.
