PACE Part 1
This course will explain the therapeutic parenting technique known as PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy). It will explore how this evidence-based approach can be a very powerful approach for schools to utilise on a whole school level, while significantly benefitting more vulnerable children and young people.
Outcomes:
- Gain an understanding of how and why the PACE model helps to reduce conflict, defensiveness and withdrawal.
- Explore each phase of PACE in detail alongside relevant scripts which will help to embed this model.
- Apply the model to scenarios / case studies in a group discussion.
