School Closures

School closure instructions

Updating the status of your school in our closures system will automatically update our website and send an email to your local radio station.

If there has been heavy snow or other widespread disruption, and your school is open, please log in to set your status to 'Open - Normal Operation' for the day to reassure parents.

If you need to add a closure to our system, please follow the below procedure:

  1. Log into SchoolsWeb
  2. Under the name of your school in the middle of the login page there will be a link which says ‘Register Centre Closure’.
  3. Clicking on the link will take you to the Closures form.
  4. Fill in the details and click the ‘Add new status’ button.
  5. Click on the ‘start date’ box and select today’s date (it should be highlighted).
  6. There should be no need in normal circumstances  to change the ‘back to normal operation date’ as it automatically selects the following day.
  7. You only need to write a message in circumstances such as a partial closure

Please make sure over this winter period that login details for SchoolsWeb are also available off the premises in case you are unable to make it into school in the morning.

Info Smallver 2If you do not know your login details please contact your Head Teacher, Chair of Governors or Manager in the first instance.
